Hill Myna : छत्तीसगढ़ की जैव विविधता (International Biodiversity Day 2025) की स्थिति पर नजर डालें तो यह चिंताजनक है। राज्य का (राजकीय पक्षी पहाड़ी मैना) और दुर्लभ (स्तनधारी पैंगोलिन) अब खतरे के घेरे में हैं। एक समय जंगलों में चहचहाने वाली पहाड़ी मैना आज सुनाई नहीं देती, वहीं पैंगोलिन की तस्करी के मामले लगातार सामने आ रहे हैं।
बोलने वाली चिड़िया अब खामोश क्यों (International Biodiversity Day 2025)
छत्तीसगढ़ की राजकीय पक्षी (पहाड़ी मैना) अपनी बोलने की क्षमता के कारण पहचानी जाती है, लेकिन अब यह पक्षी तेजी से विलुप्ति की ओर बढ़ रहा है। इसके पीछे कई कारण हैं – जंगलों की अंधाधुंध कटाई, खनन, खेती के लिए पेड़ों की कटाई, और स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा इसके चूजों को पकड़कर पालतू बनाना।
इसके अलावा इसके मांस को लेकर यह अंधविश्वास भी फैला हुआ है कि इसका सेवन बुद्धि बढ़ाता है। कांगेर घाटी और बस्तर क्षेत्र में इसके घोंसले अब कम होते जा रहे हैं। वन विभाग ने “मैना मित्र” नामक विशेष दल गठित किया है, जिसमें आदिवासी युवा वाइल्डलाइफ इंटर्न के साथ मिलकर 6-10 किलोमीटर जंगल की ट्रेकिंग कर मैना के घोंसलों की निगरानी कर रहे हैं। फिर भी जागरूकता की कमी इस प्रजाति के लिए बड़ा खतरा बनी हुई है।
जंगल से एयरपोर्ट तक फैला नेटवर्क (International Biodiversity Day 2025)
(पैंगोलिन), जिसे दुनिया का सबसे ज्यादा तस्करी होने वाला स्तनधारी कहा जाता है, छत्तीसगढ़ के जंगलों से तेजी से गायब हो रहा है। इसकी खाल की अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में भारी मांग है, खासकर पारंपरिक चीनी दवाओं में इसके उपयोग के कारण। ताजा मामला रायपुर एयरपोर्ट का है, जहां एक CISF जवान को 3.5 किग्रा खाल के साथ पकड़ा गया।
इससे पहले जनवरी 2025 में जगदलपुर से 43 किग्रा और दिसंबर 2024 में पखांजूर से 13 किग्रा खाल बरामद की गई थी। तस्करी का यह नेटवर्क जंगलों से लेकर अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार तक फैला है। हालांकि कानून मौजूद हैं, लेकिन जमीनी स्तर पर निगरानी की कमी और स्थानीय सहभागिता न होने से यह खतरा बढ़ता जा रहा है। वन विभाग लगातार प्रयास कर रहा है, परंतु तस्करों की चालाकी इन प्रयासों को चुनौती दे रही है।

हर साल 22 मई को (अंतरराष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता दिवस) मनाया जाता है ताकि पृथ्वी पर मौजूद प्राकृतिक प्रजातियों की रक्षा के लिए लोगों को जागरूक किया जा सके। इसका उद्देश्य है विलुप्त होती जैव विविधता की गंभीरता को समझाना और संरक्षण में आम जनता की भागीदारी को प्रोत्साहित करना।
छत्तीसगढ़ जैसे जैव (International Biodiversity Day 2025) विविधता-समृद्ध राज्य में यह दिन खास महत्व रखता है, जहां पहाड़ी मैना, पैंगोलिन जैसे प्रजातियां संकट में हैं। विशेषज्ञ मानते हैं कि केवल सरकारी नीतियाँ या वन विभाग के प्रयास काफी नहीं हैं। जब तक स्कूल, पंचायतें, गांव और आम नागरिक जागरूक नहीं होंगे, तब तक कोई भी संरक्षण योजना टिकाऊ नहीं हो सकती। इस दिन का असल मतलब तभी पूरा होगा जब यह एक दिन की रस्म नहीं, बल्कि सालभर की प्रतिबद्धता बने।
