Chaitra navratri : हर साल नवरात्रि का पर्व चार बार मनाया जाता है: सबसे पहले चैत्र नवरात्र (Chaitra Navratri 2025) , फिर आषाढ़ नवरात्र, आश्विन नवरात्र, और अंत में माघ नवरात्र। इनमें से चैत्र और आश्विन महीने के नवरात्र का विशेष महत्व है, जिसे शारदीय नवरात्र भी कहा जाता है। यह महापर्व मां दुर्गा के विभिन्न स्वरूपों को समर्पित है।

उन्होंने किष्किंधा के निकट ऋष्यमूक पर्वत पर चढ़ने से पहले मां दुर्गा की उपासना की थी। इसी कारण नवरात्र (Chaitra Navratri 2025) के नौवें दिन को रामनवमी भी कहा जाता है। शास्त्रों के अनुसार, राम को नौ दिनों की उपासना करने का सुझाव ब्रह्मा जी ने दिया था। उन्होंने राम को बताया कि चंडी पाठ के बाद देवी स्वरूप को 108 नीलकमल के फूल अर्पित करें।
ये नीलकमल अत्यंत दुर्लभ होते हैं। श्रीराम (Chaitra Navratri 2025) ने अपनी सेना की सहायता से 108 नीलकमल इकट्ठा किए। लेकिन जब यह बात रावण को पता चली, तो उसने अपनी मायावी शक्ति से उन फूलों को गायब कर दिया।
जब प्रभु राम पूजा के बाद फूल चढ़ाने गए, तो उन्होंने देखा कि टोकरी में एक फूल कम था। यह देखकर श्रीराम चिंतित हो गए। तब उन्होंने फूल के स्थान पर अपनी एक आंख निकालकर देवी को अर्पित करने का निर्णय लिया।
जैसे ही उन्होंने तीर उठाया, माता चंडी प्रकट हुईं। राम की भक्ति देखकर माता प्रसन्न हो गईं और उन्हें विजय प्राप्ति का आशीर्वाद दिया। तभी से चैत्र नवरात्र (Chaitra Navratri 2025) मनाने की परंपरा शुरू हुई।
